anybody go to memphis in may this weekend? i am exhausted and sunburnt even tho the weather suuuuuucked. saw a bunch of bands that i would never actaully pay money to go see "in-and-of-themselves". but live and foo fighters were really good even tho it was pouring rain and really windy. for 45 bucks i saw good and i saw total crap.

got a big show coming up tonight. we are playing at the Muse in nashville and its our first time playing at a venue where big bands have played so i'm kinda nervous about it. here is a short list:

thursday
coheed & cambria
poison the well
atreyu
sworn enemy
spitalfield
don't necessarily like all these bands, but its cool that we are playing on the same stage as them. woo-freakin-hoo! we play there again next thursday with some bigger bands. good times.

i finally bought the last guitar i will ever own...that's the plan anyway. went and picked up a black gibson sg standard in nashville this weekend. it is suuuweeet!!! my faded sg is now my backup and i have commenced with trying to sell my other 5 or 6 guitars cause they're all collecting dust...and that's just a shame.
the only thing that sucks is that guitar center - where i purchased the new guit - owns musician's friend but they don't honor mf's credit cards. so since i didn't feel like dropping a 1000+ dollars all at once, i had to sign up for guitar center's credit card. stupid. but, i was able to get it in time for practice this weekend so i'm not too upset, but my ears are still ringing...'tis a sweet, sweet sound...
